I chose to skip, and I still get tons of them. Dude was just like "Nah, I'm sending you a bunch of dick pics anyway." And then a couple days later, Maddie was all "I need you to check out all these dick pics." I even restarted the game, and it happened the same way.
Yes, completely. If you're downloading to Android, use the APK file. It'll ask you to install. If you're downloading to Windows, you'll have to unzip, find the exe file, & it might give you a warning about coming from the internet, so select "More info", then "Run anyway".
If a game has lots of user activity and isn't recently added then it's safe. There are games which people steal then add malware and upload with another name, and it takes some time for it to get discovered and taken down. This is because anyone can upload games without them being checked first unlike steam, gog, etc. Also developers can delete comments and disable them altogether so people can't warn others if something is malware.
One of the greatest games i ever played. It’s super hot and intense. It doesn’t feel forced or corny like some games. The art work is great and overall just an amazing experience!
In my 17 years of playing videogames, I've never left a review on one before.
This game is phenomenal. I don't know who did the writing but it feels natural and compelling, with the "crossroad" dialogue options super well crafted and interesting. Obviously a ton of work went into this element alone.
I love the back and forth between the "work" and the text conversations. The artwork is unique, and both abstract while feeling very real. Body positive vibes all around, which is so refreshing - I had no idea I'd be as invested in the characters as I am.
I can genuinely see this game premise being expanded in all sorts of interesting ways. I know everyone has different thresholds for affordability, but in my opinion this game is undervalued. In a world where it's not split into parts and/or offered as a full v1.0 release, I could easily see this valued at $10-$15. Truly unique - kudos!
I'll investigate further. But on first inspection I can't see the problem. Also nobody else has mentioned this. What phone and version of Android do you have?
also now would be a good time to mention this; but why is the 2nd game file so large if it only has one day while the first game doesn't? oh and I absolutely adore your artstyle!
Just came back to this a year after I last played it, and to see that to continue after day 14 you have to pay AGAIN is very disappointing. I understand software limitations can happen, but if I were to do something like this I would first figure out a way for people who already bought the game to receive it for free, such as obtaining proof of purchase and giving them a key to the second game, or at least find a way to compensate those who already own it. It just doesn't look good (imo) if you're not willing to do something like that.
Good luck with your game, but I personally won't be paying for it again.
Sorry that you feel this way, but unfortunately I need to get paid for the time I spend on making new content so it can't be free. I'm still making new chapters every month, and hope to continue doing that for a long time.
Well then it's not just about software limitation. If we pretend there weren't any, would you still have made a sequel? If yes, then it's about money, and I would be okay with that if you had mentioned that was part of or fully the reason for making one; if not, we would still own the game and would get all future updates for free, and money would have nothing to do with it.
I'm not assuming that you're a bad person or anything like that, I'm just saying that if money was at least part of the reason for making a sequel and not just software limitations, then you should've mentioned it in addition to your other reasons.
Anyway, that's just my take. Good luck with the game!
Certainly you're getting paid for your efforts via Patreon and with the sale of the games. You did set the price.
Don't sell an "in-development" game that suggests that there will be more days included in the initial purchase, arbitrarily decide that it's "done" then release a sequel, which is also incomplete because you're also focusing on three or four other projects.
I definitely never intended to be dishonest. People liked this game & wanted more. I had a problem with the game engine. I had to change plans & adapt in a way that allowed me to keep making content for people.
The sequel is pretty cheap, & I update it roughly every month.
Im pretty disapointed in you. As an inde-dev, NSFW or not, you still need to eat. This here is a harsh market and 2.80€ for a second game isnt much to ask. Half of the consumers wouldnt even have noticed if it would a dlc for 2.80€. I am pretty sure this dev is payed way under the minimum wage and might be strugglying to keep afloat. And what about the devs that just strait up leave in hard times? This one here wanted to deliver what most of you wanted but couldnt do it for free.
Tho, I still need to agree that it is disappointing and can understand if you feel betrayed. But you cant rly call it dishonest if the dev litterly tells you the reasons the old game is discontinued.
Get off your high horse. Being an indie-dev or "dev" in general is not something that gives you accreditation or a higher standard of opinion than anyone else. I, for example, am a dev as well, but it's completely irrelevant to the points being made and doesn't need to be mentioned.
HH Richards has a Patreon, making ~$4k a month, which is on top of the income from these games. So, $72k USD net before taxes, which is a sizeable assuming this is their only sort of income. "Hard times" happens to everyone and that's why you budget and take responsibility for those yourself.
Hey HH, this looks fun. Just played the online demo and liked it quite a bit. Do you think you'd ever make a Mac version though? If yes, it'd be an insta-buy. :-)
I would love to make a Mac version, but unfortunately every time I've tried I've not been able to figure out how to make it work. It's a bit more complicated unfortunately, which is why there's only an Android & Windows version right now
Thanks for the quick reply! And fair enough. I have no idea *how* these things are done. But I'll keep my fingers crossed, maybe one day you'll find a way. :-)
Lewd Mod is an intensely simplistic game, lacking in overly expressive artwork and descriptive conversations. This is oddly exactly what makes this game so astounding. Lewd Mod is a perfect example of taking a good idea and running with it, going against the social standard that most erotic games follow today.
While deficient of length in gameplay, this jejune-esque divertissement is well worth the play, while not the game you play when you want a long and intense story, it is definitely one of the better games I have played as of recent.
If you have some time to give this game a try, definitely do so, I have no doubt you'll enjoy yourself.
Haha I ended up figuring it out, I'm a little stupid, didn't realize the rules are only faces are good, underwear is allowed. Thanks for reaching out though, it's a very fun game!
I really liked this game. Paying 3 bucks for a really fun story is worth it in my mind. I do wish there was some sort of gallery feature, though, so you don't have to replay through the whole story to look at the art.
Alright, I've read the comments. I've played the demo, and my opinion comes from the perspective of a creator of artistic works (I write books and such..)
People are making a mountain out of a molehill. I understand the outrage of being misled, but honestly, with the amount of work that goes into writing (Both writing code and writing the words you read) and the amount of work that goes into art (remember, someone had to draw every picture you see) - This game, while simple, is worth the paltry dollar amount the creator asks for. On any other website, those photos would be sold individually (or MAYBE in batches of 5) for one dollar a piece. Let alone the actual time the creator took to write the dialogue.
Some people just want to be angry about something. Take their criticisms with a grain of salt. They certainly provided enough.
Thanks for letting me know about this. I've got no fix for it right now tho, you might have to follow the instructions to get a refund unfortunately. Or play the game on Android instead
just played day 15, and i loved it!!! i didnt care if i had to pay for the sequel, i will still support your work no matter what. i wonder if there will be more of ingrid and ellie in future updates?
awesome!!!!! how long will sohpie hot vacation be before you add it to itch? i only play chapters 1 and 2 and i really want to play the next 3 chapters but again i cant do patreon.
Bought the first one and found it really interesting and original, but the "sequel" is just another update, so it should be, at least, free for the people who OWN the game.
I will not support a creator who can (and will) create a "sequel" every 15 in-game days and make me pay more for the game I've already bought.
As other commenters said, it's not the price, it's the principle.
This is fair enough. Thanks for the feedback. I work really hard on this game, the writing, the artwork. I want to continue the story for as long as possible. Unfortunately tho, the software I use gets slow & impossible to use when the story is over a certain length. So it wasn't intentional, but I've had to switch to the same method that is used by TV series, books, comics etc, & release content like this to keep adding more content.
Do not buy. This was supposed to be the full game but the other half has been split into a new game that you have to pay for again if you're u want to finish. The game is fun if repetitive, but not worth the cost of both games (especially as we were promised all upcoming updates). Will not be supporting this dev again.
It's true that the story continues in a sequel. Unfortunately I had to do this because the file I was using was getting too slow as the game was getting longer. So Day 15 onwards is in a sequel. But it's reasonably priced, and will be updated monthly.
While 2$ is cheap its more about the principle. Now the page states that the story will continue in part two and buyers are aware of that. But everyone who bought it before the page was updated was given the impression they would be reciving all future updates until the story was finnished. For us this is pretty much a bait and switch.
This 100%. Also as the game is now $4 (so far, who knows how many parts this will end up being), which isn't cheap for the kind of game it is.
You're spot on, this is a bait and switch and we shouldn't support a creator who does this, there's plenty of other devs to ssupport who don't do shady stuff like this.
"I had to do this because the file I was using was getting too slow as the game was getting longer"
This is transparently untrue. You can upload more than one file on this game page. You promised the full game for one low payment, now you're asking for twice as much.
If you wanna do a sequel then finish up this plot and then release a sequel. Don't just decide to double the price and lock out all existing customers unless they agree to pay twice.
We're not talking a lot of money here (although many people will have paid over the advertised price), this is about saying your provide something, then deciding you weren't going to fulfill your promise unless people pay again. Why would I pay for more when you didn't fulfill what you said you would the last time I paid you?
The plot did finish. LM2 is a new plot. Tbh I'd originally planned to allow the option of Sophie getting fired, so she wouldn't be in LM2. But so many people like her!
I get the idea but, dude, you're just changing the price mid-thing. You already have patreon, people will pay for full hd artwork and other things, there is just no excuse to charge again from people who already bought it. It's unauthorized subscription, lol.
You're basically selling something that won't be ever finished, don't you see this? 2/3 bucks is pretty OK for a game like this and I paid, promptly.
But now you're asking me to pay again, and... worst of all, the 2 don't have the first 14 chapters, so... I'm pretty sure you'll end up charging people after another 15~20 chapters.
Again, not the price, the principle. I really enjoyed the game, artwork is cool and all of that but I just can't keep paying without a single finished game.
This has been a lot of fun so far! It's fun to flirt with Sophie and Maddie, although I definitely found myself worrying that if I said something too wrong, I might ruin my chances entirely. I'm used to playing either visual novels, where it's easy to backtrack and try a new choice, or sandbox games, where I know I won't lock myself out of a relationship path, and this feels somewhere in between.
I'm only on Day 8 or 9 right now, but part of me is hoping that the theme of social media censorship will be explored more. I know, I know, it's a lewd game, but I think this has the potential to be a really interesting exploration of human sexuality, self-expression, and puritanical culture, and I've liked the bits of this I've seen so far.
It would be rad if there were a way to revisit the photos that Maddie or Sophie send you. 😁
Finally, what's a good way to report typos to you? I've seen a couple here and there (most notably, "penisses"—the correct spelling is "penises").
Thanks for the game. It's fun and I'm excited to see where it goes.

what was the update?
Just an update to the SDK & some image improvements. I wasn't going to do a devlog but maybe I should just for clarity
That moment you can't use your one freebie on Darla D because of Kurt.
" you've killed me"
I am not able to clear the demo. Skill issue. Will try again next year 🙃
Finally - a game where i can powertrip and send thots to the orange site where they belong. Thanks fam
I bought the game, but it's only letting me install the Demo
Try uninstalling the demo and then installing the game. Normally you shouldn't have to do this but maybe there's a conflict.
I've done so, however the only option that pops up is labeled "demo" 72MiB
Not sure what's happened but you've got the wrong file, the full Windows version is 85MB.
After a month it allows me to install the correct file! GG
Great, glad it works for you now!
Any way to disable or skip the constant dick-pics?
Yes you can choose to skip after the 1st round, and after that there's a only a few more anyway, the rest of the game is photos of women.
Great - Thanks!
That sucks i wish there was an option to disable all men
You don't see many at all. It's just part of the story that you'll see a few
I chose to skip, and I still get tons of them. Dude was just like "Nah, I'm sending you a bunch of dick pics anyway." And then a couple days later, Maddie was all "I need you to check out all these dick pics." I even restarted the game, and it happened the same way.
If you restarted the game you would have had to see them twice! 😝 Trust me there's only a few in those early chapters, the rest of the game is women.
thats just the realism, theres too much meat on these sites not enough women to go around on them
Hey, I've never used itch.io before, and I just want to know if this is safe to download before I buy it
Yes, completely. If you're downloading to Android, use the APK file. It'll ask you to install. If you're downloading to Windows, you'll have to unzip, find the exe file, & it might give you a warning about coming from the internet, so select "More info", then "Run anyway".

Can u play it on apple?
Unfortunately the Apple App store doesn't allow adult games.
you might be able soon. From the looks of it, you will be able to download game from the Google Play store and others.
I can't wait either!

How can play chapters 31 and 32
Those chapters are in Lewd Mod 2: https://hhrichards.itch.io/lewd-mod-2
This game is the best game I played, how can upload versión 31 and 32 to can play in MI phone
Those chapters are in Lewd Mod 2.
Is there any way to reset my progress data? I accidentally click options that I don't want click occasionally.
Restart the current Day and it'll reset the progress
I'm having trouble purchasing this game. I click Pay With Card, which takes me to a checkout screen but with nothing to click.
Try again in a while maybe. Maybe clear your browser's cache or use a different device. I think itchio have been making some updates.
Works now; I just had to wait. Thank you for your quick reply.

Thanks so much for this review, I'm so glad that you're enjoying the game! Have a look at my other games too!
upper management scares me a bit
I have the power of zuccccc
👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
huge issue, the reject button doesn't show up at all in the screen, making the game unplayable, pls fix
Are you playing on Windows or Android?
android, full version too
so can you help, dev? I was having such a fun time with the second game but it was so short though and I thought maybe the first would be better :/
I'll investigate further. But on first inspection I can't see the problem. Also nobody else has mentioned this. What phone and version of Android do you have?
Galaxy grand prime plus, android 6.0
I'm a coder and I can tell you the issue;
the screen res isn't dynamic, so what sprites are supposed to load, load in a fixed position not relative to the screen.
Android 6 is ancient, Its possible that the engine doesnt support it. IIRC the game uses some form of Twine
also now would be a good time to mention this; but why is the 2nd game file so large if it only has one day while the first game doesn't? oh and I absolutely adore your artstyle!
Finally, you update it! 😉😉😉😉😉😉😉👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Some bugfixes and improved some of those early images that weren't as good as the later ones 😄
Amazing 😉😉😉😉
Very nice concept and execution!
Great game and love the side story!
I just bought it in iOS and realized it doesn’t work on it
Oh no! You can get a refund from itch.
Just came back to this a year after I last played it, and to see that to continue after day 14 you have to pay AGAIN is very disappointing.

Im pretty disapointed in you. As an inde-dev, NSFW or not, you still need to eat. This here is a harsh market and 2.80€ for a second game isnt much to ask.
I actually agree with you.
For the people who've already played.... who is your favorite character?
(so I know who to include more in the future!)
Maddie is my favorite character, followed closely by our lovely boss, Sofia. Wouldn't this comment been better placed on lewd mod 2's comment section?
Hey HH, this looks fun. Just played the online demo and liked it quite a bit. Do you think you'd ever make a Mac version though? If yes, it'd be an insta-buy. :-)
I would love to make a Mac version, but unfortunately every time I've tried I've not been able to figure out how to make it work. It's a bit more complicated unfortunately, which is why there's only an Android & Windows version right now

I'm in love with the phrase "jejune-esque divertissement" 😁 Thanks for the review!
Thanks dev! This game is so good. The story is exciting, the characters are engaging and it isn't boring to play!!
Great, glad you liked it!
I literally cannot get past day 1 lmao
Is this because of a bug? Or you don't want to press ❌ on the nudes? 😄
Haha I ended up figuring it out, I'm a little stupid, didn't realize the rules are only faces are good, underwear is allowed. Thanks for reaching out though, it's a very fun game!
Thanks! Glad you like it!
Is this still on going?
If you're asking if I'm still working on this game, I'm making new chapters for the sequel every month. Also have some spin-off games coming soon too!
Where can I find the sequel?
https://hhrichards.itch.io/lewd-mod-2
I really liked this game. Paying 3 bucks for a really fun story is worth it in my mind. I do wish there was some sort of gallery feature, though, so you don't have to replay through the whole story to look at the art.
Thanks very much! if it helps, all the artwork is also posted on my Patreon page: https://www.patreon.com/lewdmod
Awesome, awesome game. Great reimagining of a traditional VN. Characters are great, the dialogue feels natural and I love the minimalist art style.
Thanks so much for saying so!
Alright, I've read the comments. I've played the demo, and my opinion comes from the perspective of a creator of artistic works (I write books and such..)

when I launched the game its just a white square any fix to this?
Never heard of this happening before! Is this on Windows or Android?
windows it just shows this... :/
Thanks for letting me know about this. I've got no fix for it right now tho, you might have to follow the instructions to get a refund unfortunately. Or play the game on Android instead
This is a very fun game. Will definitely be picking up the sequel so I can keep playing with Sophie.
Also, come on, tell me we get to meet up with Sophie in the future. Don't blue ball me.
I've certainly got a lot of content planned for Sophie!
Dose progress transfer to lewdmod 2, and if yes how do you do it?
No the story starts afresh, so there's nothing to transfer
just played day 15, and i loved it!!! i didnt care if i had to pay for the sequel, i will still support your work no matter what. i wonder if there will be more of ingrid and ellie in future updates?
Yep there will be!

Just bought it and played it non-stop! The premise is awesome, with great writing and artwork. Can't wait to play the second now.
Thanks so much, glad you liked it!
I will not buy the second part.
Bought the first one and found it really interesting and original, but the "sequel" is just another update, so it should be, at least, free for the people who OWN the game.
I will not support a creator who can (and will) create a "sequel" every 15 in-game days and make me pay more for the game I've already bought.

Ngl I like ingrid.
Haha that's great! I actually didn't expect many people to like her, she's a strict mean boss!
That's the best part it's a change from the usual.
Do not buy. This was supposed to be the full game but the other half has been split into a new game that you have to pay for again if you're u want to finish.
Thanks very much, glad you're enjoying it!
